The NMAT 2026-27 Application Form has been released from 20th August 2026 through online mode. The exam is expected to commence from 2nd November 2026. The GMAC (Graduate Management Admission Council) conducts the NMAT entrance exam at the university level. The NMAT exam permits candidates to appear for multiple attempts within a testing year, giving them an opportunity to improve their scores in the entrance exam.
NMAT test, officially known as NMAT by GMAC, is a national-level computer-based entrance examination conducted by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) for admission to MBA and PGDM programmes at SVKM’s NMIMS and several other leading business schools in India and abroad.
Along with NMAT, GMAC also conducts the GMAT exam. Unlike single-day MBA entrance exams such as the CAT exam or XAT, NMAT gives candidates the flexibility to select their preferred exam date, time slot, and test mode. It also allows up to three attempts, including one main attempt and two retakes, within a single testing window to help candidates improve their scores. Around 75,000 to 90,000 candidates appear for the test every year.
