Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, one of India’s top private universities, is a popular choice among engineering aspirants every year. The Amrita University BTech application form 2026 is now open. Candidates can apply for admission using their JEE Main 2026 scores or through the Amrita Engineering Entrance Examination (AEEE) 2026.

For BTech admissions, 70% of seats are allotted based on AEEE scores, while the remaining 30% are filled through JEE Main ranks. Applicants have the flexibility to apply using either one of the exams or both, depending on their preference.

Amrita AEEE 2026 exam will be held twice – first phase from January 29 to February 1, and second phase from April 25 to 30. 10+2 passed candidates are eligible to apply for Amrita BTech admissions. Amrita offers BTech courses across its nine campuses. Candidates have to fill out a common application form to apply for BTech admission in any of these campuses.

Amrita BTech Admission 2026 Selection Process

The selection in Amrita campuses for BTech admission is done via two modes – AEEE and JEE Main. Check the Amrita BTech selection and admission process via AEEE and JEE Main below.

Amrita BTech Admission Process via AEEE 2026

Eligible candidates have to follow the following steps to apply for Amrita BTech admission 2026 via AEEE scores:

Apply for Amrita BTech admission 2026 via AEEE mode: Fill out the Amrita BTech 2026 application form and enter mode of admission as AEEE. Select the exam city preference in the application form. The exam is held in two phases; candidates can apply for both AEEE phases or any one of them, just like JEE Mains.

Book exam slot and download admit card: The registered candidates with AEEE admission mode have to book slot for the AEEE 2026 exam. The slot booking includes selecting the preferred exam date and time. After booking the slot, the AEEE 2026 admit card will be issued.

Appear for exam: Based on the date and time selected and as mentioned on the admit card, candidates have to appear for the exam. Check the AEEE 2026 exam pattern below:

  • AEEE is held in computer-based test mode.
  • The questions are based on the syllabus in Class 11th & Class 12th.
  • All the questions are of a Multiple-Choice type and have four options as possible answers.
  • 3 (Three) marks are awarded for each correct answer and -1 (negative one) for each wrong answer.

Result declaration: Amrita announces the AEEE phase 1 and phase 2 results online on the official website. The result shows the ranks of the candidates in AEEE. Candidates who appear for both phases are allotted a seat in Amrita CSAP based on the best score out of both phases.

AEEE CSAP: The counselling procedure for Amrita BTech admissions is known as the Amrita BTech Centralised Seat Allotment Process (CSAP). Once the CSAP schedule is released, candidates must register online to participate in counselling. After completing the registration, applicants can select their preferred BTech specialisation and Amrita campus. Seat allocation is carried out based on the candidate’s AEEE rank, choices filled, and seat availability.

Amrita BTech Admission Process via JEE Main 2026

Eligible candidates have to follow the following steps to apply for Amrita BTech admission 2026 via JEE Main scores:

Apply for Amrita BTech admission 2026 via JEE mode: Fill out the Amrita BTech 2026 application form and enter mode of admission as JEE Mains. Note that JEE Mains scores may be entered after the publication of the JEE Main results. It is not mandatory to fill the same at the time of filling out the application.

AEEE CSAP: The counselling procedure for Amrita BTech admissions is known as the Amrita BTech Centralised Seat Allotment Process (CSAP). After the AEEE CSAP schedule is released, eligible candidates must complete the online registration to take part in counselling. Once registered, they can fill in their preferred BTech programmes and Amrita campuses. Seat allotment is then carried out based on the candidate’s JEE Main rank, their choices, and the availability of seats.

Amrita BTech Application Form 2026

Amrita University offers BTech admissions across its nine campuses — Amaravati, Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Faridabad, Nagercoil, and Haridwar. A single common application form is used for all campuses. Candidates can apply using their AEEE 2026 score, JEE Main 2026 score, or both.

While filling out the application, applicants must specify their preferred admission route — AEEE 2026, JEE Main 2026, or a combination of both. For those who choose both pathways, the university will consider the higher score obtained in either exam during the selection process to maximise the candidate’s admission chances.

What is the admission process for B.Tech at Amrita?

Yes, the fee is refundable only if none of the preferred branches are allotted until the end of CSAP.

Are scholarships available for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates?

No, scholarships are awarded based on entrance exam performance (AEEE or JEE).

Is there a specific cutoff or minimum/maximum rank required in AEEE or JEE for seat allocation?

No, we do not have a cutoff system for AEEE or JEE. Seat allocation is based on students’ ranks in AEEE/JEE, the number of applications, and applicants’ preferences, which vary each year. All applicants with AEEE/JEE scores are eligible to register for CSAP (Centralized Seat Allotment Process).
