What is the AMAT Exam?
Alliance-AMAT (Alliance Management Aptitude Test) is conducted by Alliance University and serves as an entrance gateway for admission to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme offered by the Alliance School of Business. The university is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) as well as the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. AMAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates planning to appear for the Alliance AMAT 2026 exam should carefully review the eligibility criteria before applying. Applications that do not meet the required conditions may be rejected by the authorities. The Alliance-AMAT 2026 eligibility criteria are outlined below:
- Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
- Applicants from the General category should have secured at least 50% aggregate marks in graduation.
- Candidates belonging to the SC/ST category must have obtained a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in graduation.
- A valid score in GMAT, CAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA, CMAT, NMAT by GMAC, or AMAT is accepted for admission.
Note: The AMAT exam is compulsory for candidates who have not appeared in any of the above national-level MBA entrance exams.

Alliance AMAT 2026 Selection Process
The Alliance School of Business, Bangalore conducts the selection process after the AMAT 2026 exam to finalize candidates for MBA and PGDM programmes.
The selection process for Alliance AMAT 2026 consists of three sections-
- Essay Writing – This round is to evaluate candidates’ written communication as they would be asked to write an essay on selected topics, provided by the admission panel.
- Oral Extempore Presentation – This is conducted to evaluate candidates’ spoken communication. Candidates would be asked to make an oral presentation on select topics, provided by the admission panel.
- Personal Interview – Personal Interview (PI) round is the final step in the selection process. The overall personality of a candidate would be evaluated.
Apart from AMAT 2026, candidates applying for the Alliance MBA programme may also use valid scores from national-level entrance exams such as GMAT, CAT, MAT, NMAT, CMAT, KMAT, or XAT.
